It will be a jazzy affair at Junction 24 on Sunday when Victor Kunonga and Alexio Kawara share the stage in a concert dubbed “Easter Sunday Special”.

The family show will kick off around 2pm at the venue that is located along Harare-Chitungwiza highway.

The spot has hosted a number of family shows featuring the likes of Jah Prayzah, Trevor Dongo and Winky D.

The duo of Kawara and Kunonga has shared the stage at various shows and they are known to serenade fans whenever they combine.

Kawara said he was happy to perform at the exquisite venue that is ideal for family outing.

“I have been at the venue before and realised that it is a good outdoor facility for family entertainment. This will be an opportunity for Shades of Black (his backing band) to have fun with families.

We usually perform at night and family shows are always good as they present us with chances to meet our young fans and mothers,” said Kawara.

The musician is a regular at upmarket spots and has become a darling of mature crowds. He mainly performs at Zimbabwe-Germany Society and The Book Café.

Kunonga has also performed at the same venues and on Sunday he will celebrate Easter with his fans. The musician said he is looking forward to the show.

“Easter is a time for people to go out with families either at church or for leisure.

“It is also one of our busiest holidays and we will be there to celebrate with people that enjoy time out with families this Easter. We invite them to come in their numbers for the show and we promise the very best,” he said.

Junction 24 proprietor Tavepi Madzingira said they are ready to offer a best package for the holiday.

He said the family show was organised after requests from mature patrons that want to enjoy the day with their families.
