extravaganza.
The carnival will end on January 1.
It brings together top artists, disc jockeys and MCs from Zimbabwe, Zambia and South Africa.
The carnival will also be preceded by a tourism night at Chinotimba Stadium featuring musicians such as Alick Macheso, Winky D, Sulumani Chimbetu, Jah Prayzah and Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave.
Zimbabwe Tourism Authority spokesperson Mr Sugar Chagonda said the stage was set for the carnival.
The stadium will be the venue of the tourism night while Victoria Falls Primary School would play host to the carnival.
“Yes the stage has been set, everything is in order for the event so that stakeholders in the tourism industry including tourists and residents of Victoria Falls can celebrate and enjoy through music the growth and development of the sector,” he said.
Mr Chagonda said the event would celebrate the co-hosting of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation general assembly by Zimbabwe and Zambia.
The UNWTO general assembly would be held in Victoia Falls and Livingstone in August next year.
“Through the tourism night, as a country, we will be showcasing our diverse culture to tourists who will grace the occasion. The event is a perfect opportunity as we prepare for the UNWTO general assembly,” he said.
