VILLAGERS DRINK WATER CONTAINING CORPSES ! Killers toss two bodies in village well

MURDER. MAYHEM. A WELL OF DEATH.

Two Mphoengs men will rot behind bars after being slapped with two life sentences each for brutally killing two villagers and dumping their bodies in a community well like garbage.
Villagers happily drank the water, even commenting on its ‘great taste,’ unaware of the ghastly additives.
Modiri Dube and Methuli Ncube thought they could get away with blood on their hands, but Bulawayo High Court Judge Justice Ngoni Nduna made sure justice was served hot and heavy last Tuesday.

The pair had pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder, spinning a tale that the first victim, Million Moyo, was a jealous lover who tried to attack them for snatching his girlfriend. They claimed self-defence and painted Moyo as the aggressor.
But the court punched huge holes into their story, exposing embarrassing inconsistences.

“You took two lives in cold blood and tried to erase the evidence by dumping the bodies in a water source,” said Justice Nduna, before slapping each man with 40 years, 20 per murder count.
On 31 October last year, the duo crept into Million Moyo’s yard under the cover of darkness. Moyo, who was still awake, heard suspicious footsteps and confronted them.
That decision cost him his life.

They stabbed him in the chest with a sharp object. Moyo collapsed and died on the spot, bleeding out on his own property.

To hide their evil tracks, the killers dragged his corpse to a well where locals fetch water and dumped it inside.
But their bloodlust wasn’t satisfied.

Later that same night, the deadly duo stormed the home of Bhekinkosi Ncube. Their target was money.
But Bhekinkosi came out swinging with a knobkerrie, unaware that his life was seconds from ending.

Dube and Ncube smashed a brick into his skull, sending him crashing to the ground. Then they plunged a shoe needle into his chest, delivering a death blow.
Once again, they threw the body into a well, hoping no one would discover their horror.

Their reign of terror came crashing down when body parts started surfacing in the water source.
A terrified villager alerted the police, who launched an investigation and nabbed the murderous pair.

Now, with 40 years of prison bars ahead, Dube and Ncube will have plenty of time to think about their night of death, in a well-deserved cell.
Justice may take time but it never forgets.
