VP Chiwenga highlights importance of infrastructure development at AfriConfex Conference

VICE President Chiwenga today said the premier gathering of stakeholders at the ongoing second edition of the Africa Infrastructure and Built Environment Confex (AfriConfex) conference in Bulawayo, is critical in driving infrastructure development.

He said infrastructure forms the backbone of economic development.

Without infrastructure that meets the needs of people, there would be no growth.

However, with proper infrastructure, the nation grows as it is an enabler to any economic activity.

Dr Chiwenga was giving the keynote address

The conference is held under the theme “Resilient Cities, Thriving Africa: Building Sustainable Infrastructure for Economic Grow
