Warriors get Collins Mnangagwa backing

THE Zimbabwe Warriors, who go into battle against Kenya this evening, have received the backing of many Zimbabweans, including high profile figures like businessman Collins Mnangagwa.

Warriors play Kenya in an AFCON qualifier at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, South Africa.

The match kicks-off at 6pm.

Zimbabwe just need to avoid a defeat for them to seal their place at the Morocco 2025 finals.

A win against the Harambee Stars will see us qualify in style and boost our chances of even winning our group.

A defeat against the East Africans means Zimbabwe need to beat Cameroon in their backyard to secure qualification.

And Collins, who recently received a shirt gift from Warriors captain and Luton Town star Marvelous Nakamba believes the boys will do business in Polokwane.

“I’m rallying behind the boys. I have been in touch with most of them and the message is simple, we want to qualify.

“That’s the spirit and I know they can do it,” he said.

Warriors coach Michael Nees knows the importance of the match, which is decisive for both sides.

“It’s a decisive game for Kenya and it’s an important game for us because we are in a good position. But you know what football can be.

“You can only plan and work on a good performance. And, with a good performance, you can have a good result.”
