2025 Miss Universe Zimbabwe, Lyshanda Moyas, is preparing to conclude her reign after representing the country at the global pageant, where she reached the Top 30 and narrowly missed out on being crowned Miss Universe Africa.
With provincial auditions now underway to find the next Miss Universe Zimbabwe, Moyas says it is time to pass on the baton.
In a reflective social media post, the Gweru-born beauty queen looked back on her journey, describing how it all began as a dream.
“From a dream to a crown… and from fear to purpose. A year ago, I took a step into the unknown with nothing but belief, courage, and a dream bigger than my fears. Today, I look back and realise that every challenge, every sacrifice, and every moment of doubt was shaping me into the woman I was destined to become,” she wrote.
She also shared a message of encouragement for the next queen, who will be crowned at a pageant in Harare on June 6.
“To the next Miss Universe queen, your journey is not just about the crown, it is about purpose, impact, growth, and discovering the power within yourself. Never let fear convince you that you are not enough. The moment you choose to believe in yourself and take that first step, your entire life can change.”
Moyas said the platform had a profound impact on her personal growth and confidence.
“This platform changed me, strengthened me, and gave me a voice beyond borders. And now, it is your turn to rise, to inspire, and to carry the Zimbabwean dream onto the world stage. Believe. Begin. Become. Your journey of purpose starts now.”
