Highlanders’ title charge has been dealt a major blow ahead of Sunday’s explosive encounter with Scottland FC at Rufaro Stadium, after Arthur Ndlovu and Mason Mushore were ruled out due to suspension.
The two stars, who have been crucial in Bosso’s recent form, will miss the blockbuster fixture, leaving interim coach Try Ncube with big decisions to make as pressure mounts in the race for points.
“These are two good players who have been playing well,” said Ncube. “But we have able replacements who can come in and fill the void.”
Bosso fans are hoping the replacements can rise to the occasion, as the team prepares to face a rejuvenated Scottland side looking to prove they belong with the big boys.
The suspensions come at a time when Highlanders are battling to stay in contention, and all eyes will be on Ncube’s tactics and how his squad responds to the adversity.
Here’s how the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League weekend line-up looks:
Saturday:
• CAPS United vs TelOne (Rufaro)
• Triangle vs Ngezi Platinum Stars (Gibbo)
• GreenFuel vs Bikita Minerals (GreenFuel Arena)
• Kwekwe United vs Yadah (Bata)
• MWOS vs FC Platinum (Ngoni)
• Chicken Inn vs ZPC Kariba (Luveve)
• Manica Diamonds vs Herentals (Sakubva)
• Simba Bhora vs Dynamos (Wadzanayi)
Sunday:
• Scottland vs Highlanders (Rufaro)
All roads lead to Rufaro Stadium this Sunday, and though Bosso are bruised, they’re far from broken.
