A NKETA neighbourhood watch committee member miraculously escaped death after a suspected armed robber fired a shot at him during a late-night patrol on Friday.
Mr Yeki Ncube and two colleagues were on duty in Nketa 8 when they stopped three suspicious men carrying bags. But before they could search them, one of the men pulled out a gun and fired!
“I still can’t believe how the bullet missed me,” a shaken Ncube told Chronicle.
The suspects vanished into the darkness, leaving the watchmen rattled but unharmed. A police report has since been made.
