FINALLY, veteran gospel musician Baba Machanic Manyeruke has received a real GIFT after years of empty promises.
The singer was honoured by businessman Sir Wicknell Chivayo as part of his birthday celebrations.
Manyeruke received a US$74 000 2024 Toyota Fortuner.
Baba Manyeruke was accompanied by his wife and son Guspy Warrior to collect the car at Faramatsi Motors.
It has not always been like this for Baba Manyeruke.
In 2014, Pride Africa Network director Sheppard Siweru promised the veteran musician a Jaguar XF to honour his contribution to the music industry.
He was also duped in a bizarre car deal.
Speaking at Faramatsi Motors, while receiving his brand new car, Baba Manyeruke said finally someone had honoured him.
“I feel so happy because at last vana vemuZimbabwe, kuburikidza naWicknell Chivhayo, have honoured us in such a big way so I just want to thank him.
“This is something that I was not looking forward to at all, we were caught by surprise but I am really happy with this gesture.” (H-Metro)
