The Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion has officially commenced the 2026 National Budget formulation process and is inviting inputs that outline key policy priorities, programmes, and projects planned for next year.
In its call for submissions, the ministry said public insights and recommendations are vital to shaping a budget that reflects national priorities and promotes inclusive growth.
“The Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion has officially commenced the 2026 National Budget Formulation Process in accordance with Statutory Instrument 135 of 2019, Public Finance Management General Regulations 2019.
“The National Budget establishes the framework for how the country will raise and allocate funds.
“It ensures equitable distribution of resources across regions and sectors based on national priorities and available resources.
“You are invited to submit your inputs for the 2026 National Budget. Submissions should clearly outline key policy priorities, programs and projects planned for 2026,” said the ministry.
The ministry further emphasised that all contributions must be submitted no later than 31 October 2025 to allow sufficient time for consideration.
