THE Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, in partnership with the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), is hosting a two-day workshop meant to capacitate SMEs with information on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The workshop, which is running under the theme: “Unlocking Opportunities for SMEs in Zimbabwe under the AfCFTA,” is meant to enhance understanding among Government officials and private sector actors of the AfCFTA implementation instruments that include rules of origin, e-tariff book non-tariff barriers, notification tools and PAPSS.

About 48 countries have signed and ratified the AfCFTA agreement, with six yet to ratify and one yet to sign.
