INTERNATIONAL buyers attending the Zimbabwe Export Week Buyers Seminar in Bulawayo were this Sunday morning given an opportunity to experience the country’s tourism attractions when they toured Matopos National Park.

The buyers, drawn from Mozambique, Poland, Zambia, Eswatini, Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the United Kingdom, China, Rwanda and Germany, are in the city ahead of the seminar scheduled for Monday.

Accompanied by officials from ZimTrade and the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA), the visitors toured the national park, where they had an opportunity to experience Zimbabwe’s wildlife and natural heritage.

By 10am, the delegation had sighted a crash of white rhinos, adding a wildlife experience to their visit.

The excursion forms part of efforts to expose international visitors to Zimbabwe’s tourism attractions while strengthening the country’s profile as a destination for business and leisure.

The buyers are expected to engage local businesses during the Zimbabwe Export Week Buyers Seminar, which seeks to connect Zimbabwean exporters with international markets and unlock opportunities for trade and investment.

The engagements are expected to facilitate business partnerships, promote local products and expand Zimbabwe’s export markets as the country intensifies efforts to grow foreign currency earnings.

The tourism excursion also provides an opportunity to showcase Zimbabwe’s diverse attractions to visitors from key regional and international markets.

Matopos National Park, renowned for its distinctive granite formations, wildlife and cultural heritage, is among the country’s notable tourism destinations.

The Zimbabwe Export Week Buyers Seminar is expected to bring together local exporters and international buyers to explore trade opportunities across various sectors of the economy.
