Emerging Afro-fusion outfit, Kweseka Band from Victoria Falls in Matabeleland North, has claimed the top spot at the Chibuku Road to Fame 2024 edition.
The group, which has over 30 singles in the works, won a recording contract along with the US$15 000 grand prize. They stood out among ten other groups representing Zimbabwe’s provinces.
Boom Jazz from Mashonaland West secured second place, earning US$10 000, while Bulawayo Metropolitan’s Music 2 Music took third, claiming US$7 000. -@mthabisi_mthire
