The Overseer and President of the Apostolic Faith Mission of Africa (AFMA) Reverend Rosewell Zulu has arrived in Bulawayo from the United Kingdom ahead of what is being billed as the “Mother of All Revivals,” a major four-day spiritual gathering scheduled for 22–25 May 2026 at White City Arena.
The church leader recently attended Passover observances in Nottingham, where he reported a strong international turnout, with congregants travelling from Ireland, Australia, Canada, and other countries. He described the gathering as spiritually significant, citing testimonies of healing and a profound sense of divine presence.
Now back in Zimbabwe, the AFMA leader says preparations are at an advanced stage for what he anticipates will be one of the largest revival meetings in the church’s history.
Describing the upcoming event, Rev Zulu said the term “Mother” reflects the scale and inclusivity of the gathering. “This is a revival that will bring together people from across Zimbabwe and beyond. It will be unlike any other we have hosted,” he said.
According to the Overseer, the revival will focus on spiritual renewal, deliverance, and healing, with Jesus Christ at the centre of all activities. He emphasised that attendance and participation will be entirely free, including sermons, prayers, and deliverance sessions.
“We are trusting God to minister to people in every area of their lives—spiritually, physically, and emotionally,” he said, adding that the event will also feature diverse gospel music performances aimed at creating an atmosphere of worship.
In an unusual move for a gathering of this magnitude, organisers have pledged to provide free accommodation and meals for attendees, a gesture the leader says reflects the church’s commitment to inclusivity and service.
Rev Zulu issued a broad invitation to all sectors of society, encouraging families, professionals, students, and community leaders to attend. Particular emphasis was placed on youth participation, with a call for young people to actively engage in evangelism and outreach efforts in the lead-up to the event.
The revival is also expected to attract international delegates, including visitors from the United Kingdom, further underscoring its regional and global appeal.
Organisers say the White City Arena has been selected for its capacity to host large crowds, as expectations grow for a significant turnout.
“This is an open invitation to all,” the Overseer said. “The call is for anyone seeking spiritual transformation to come and be part of this moment.”
