The National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ) special leisure train, which left Harare in the morning, arrived in Mutare at 5:13PM yesterday.

Announced just last week, the new service offers a scenic journey through the Eastern Highlands, linking the capital to the host city of the 18th Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo.

The train’s maiden trip marks a significant step for NRZ in its drive to boost domestic tourism while providing alternative travel options for delegates and visitors attending the expo.

The special rail service is a partnership between NRZ, the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, and the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority.
