MOVE over, heavyweights — there’s a new king in town!
Harare-based newcomer Oriyano is the name on everyone’s lips after rocking the Bulawayo Shutdown gig on Saturday night with a performance that had fans eating out of his hand.

Despite being a late addition to the line-up, Oriyano owned the stage, connecting effortlessly with a pumped-up crowd made up of locals, traders, and international visitors fresh from the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair.

From Areka to Ndakuda and the smash hit Makarima Mupoto, the crowd sang every word like a massive choir, proving Oriyano’s tunes have hit home in a big way.
His stage presence was electric, his vocals unstoppable, and his energy unmatched — leaving fans chanting for more long after he left the stage.
Bursting onto the scene only last year and often compared to Jah Prayzah because of his vocal style, Oriyano is fast proving he’s no copycat — he’s a star in his own right.
With a fan base growing by the minute, keep watching this space: Oriyano’s takeover has begun!
