ZIMBABWE Test captain Craig Ervine is ready to go toe-to-toe with cricket heavyweights South Africa and New Zealand, calling the upcoming clashes a perfect chance to measure their mettle.
The blockbuster showdown begins with two Test matches against the Proteas at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.
Then it’s lights, camera, action as Harare Sports Club hosts a T20I tri-series featuring Zimbabwe, South Africa and New Zealand.
After the fireworks in the shortest format, the Black Caps stay behind for a two-Test series at Queens.
“It’s massive. Playing against world champions is always a big deal,” said Ervine. “We’re going to be pushed to the limit over the next two months and the boys are buzzing for it.”
The first Test against South Africa kicks off this Saturday, with the Proteas jetting into Bulawayo on Tuesday afternoon.
