Bulawayo-based Afro-Pop musician Bhila is reaping the rewards of creating music that resonates across generations, with his latest single, Njalo Njalo, continuing to captivate audiences, particularly young listeners.
The heartfelt collaboration, featuring South African choirs Rossertenville and Utsheketsha Ogezayo, is fast emerging as one of the year’s most touching African love songs.

Among those embracing the track is the Jubilee Academy School Choir from Bulawayo, which recently paid tribute to the song with a moving rendition that has won praise from the singer.
Bhila said he was deeply touched to see young learners connecting with his music.
“Thank you, Jubilee Academy, for this beautiful moment. It feels incredible to see young learners appreciating my music with so much love.
“Your support means the world to me, and I’m truly humbled. May the music continue to inspire generations,” said Bhila.
Beyond being a love song, Njalo Njalo carries a deeper message of resilience, telling the story of a love that withstands hardship, heartbreak, distance and life’s many challenges, yet endures.
“Njalo Njalo represents unending happiness. It acknowledges that marriage can have difficult moments, but we overcome them and keep going. It is, in essence, a prayer,” said Bhila.
Built on warm acoustic melodies and rich soulful harmonies, the song blends intimate storytelling with a timeless African sound that appeals to a wide audience.
