SOMBRE scenes engulf Filabusi as family members, friends and mourners gather to bid a final farewell to Mbalenhle “Mbali” Sibanda, a 27-year-old passionate Highlanders (Bosso) supporter who has died alongside members of the Bosso executive committee, leaving a community in deep mourning.
Tears flowed as mourners paid their last respects to a woman remembered for her warmth, humility and compassionate nature. Emotional hymns, prayers and heartfelt tributes echoed through the funeral service as relatives struggled to come to terms with the painful loss.
Many described Mbali as a selfless and caring individual whose kindness touched countless lives. Friends and relatives spoke of her infectious smile, unwavering support for others and the love she freely shared with everyone around her, as well as her deep devotion to Highlanders Football Club, which she followed with passion.
Her passing has sent shockwaves through Filabusi and beyond, with an outpouring of condolences continuing from friends, community members and well-wishers, particularly from the Bosso family who are also mourning the loss of their executive members in the same tragedy.
Mbali died in a tragic accident alongside members of the Bosso executive committee, a devastating road accident that has left those closest to her shattered.
