“We need a victory against Chicken Inn. It is the most important game now and we are focusing on it before we can say anything on our last game against Highlanders.
“They have got a new coach and you know what happens with a new broom so it is going to be difficult but we have also prepared thoroughly.
“If Chicken Inn managed to win in Harare against Gunners why would we also fail to win in their backyard? Morale is high after the win against Highlanders. And we are happy that there haven’t been complaints about the referees in the last matches.
“It seems they have regrouped and corrected their mistakes and we are hopeful it will continue like that with all matches being handled fairly,” said Masomere.
Shooting Stars, with 27 points, are also hanging on or dear life and will hoping to collect maximum points against CAPS United, with coach Tonderai Marume said they are doing everything they can to survive.
“Survival is no longer in our hands but we are just making sure we win our matches and then depend on the other results.
“We sat down and all agreed we should collect maximum points in the last three games and we are happy we did that against Blue Ribbon and expect to win again on Sunday.
“The match against CAPS United is difficult despite the fact that they lost to Shabanie.
“I know their culture, they wouldn’t want to lose again. And our last match against Platinum would be tricky even if they win the title at the weekend.
“But everyone at training is motivated and we believe anything can happen on the last day of the league,” said Marume.
The chop is also hovering on Monomotapa’s head and they desperately need the full set of points against Bosso tomorrow before they play Masvingo in the final match.
Coach Taurai Mangwiro will not be in charge for the last two games as he would be away in Botswana for a coaching clinic.
Black Mambas coach John “Toto” Ncube said they want to win this weekend before they meet Motor Action needing at least a point to automatically survive.
“It is a must-win for us, we are at home and should win and avoid putting ourselves under pressure when we play Motor Action in the last game of the season.
“We wanted to win against Zimbabwe Saints and it was tough but at the end of the day the point we picked up is going to be good for us,” said Ncube.
Warumwa Warumwa welcome back Peter Kachirika, who was suspended ahead of Wednesday’s tie, while Tendai Chinungwa will continue to serve a second match suspension following his expulsion in the match against Chicken Inn.
Striker John Zhuwawo and Lee Chirimanzi will miss the remaining part of the season as they are still nursing injuries.
Masvingo United are also looking at collecting maximum points and sealing their place in the PSL and they have difficult assignments as they travel to Hwange, who are vying for a top three finish to secure a Confederations Cup ticket.
Ralph Kawondera’s charges need three points to be on the safe side but this weekend they are at the Colliery before hosting troubled Monomotapa.
