BULAWAYO Chiefs forward Billy Veremu says they gave it their all following their 2-1 win over Yadah at Luveve on Saturday.
Veremu provided an assist to Farau Matare in the 31st minute and later scored a dividing header to determine the game with a much-needed three points at home.
“It was a good game, we fought hard throughout the entire game and we gave it our best shot and managed to win it.
“We didn’t allow them to execute their game plan and we just managed to convert our chances.
“It always feels good to score and I’m very happy about my performance although it was not only me so I give credit to my teammates.
“I always try to develop my performances every game by staying fit, humble and focused,” he said.
Chiefs are enjoying their current form with two wins in a row, including last week’s 3-2 victory over the Glamour Boys away from home.
“We are just working hard as a team and believing in ourselves. We are a good team and we don’t just want to add numbers in the league.
“We are enjoying our football and I hope we will continue with our consistency, trying to win as many games as we can,” said Veremu.
