We’ll be at full strength, says SA coach

A LOT is at stake for the Proteas as they face Zimbabwe today in a crucial One-Day International triangular series at Harare Sports Club.
Proteas coach Russell Domingo hinted that he will field a full-strength  squad.“It’s an important game and a couple of the guys have been rested  like Dale [Steyn] and Morne [Morkel], who have only played two games in the last three or four weeks, so I don’t think it’s that important for them to rest,” said Domingo.

“And I think they will be having a couple of weeks off after this tournament, so I don’t think there’s too much thought about resting them.

“AB [de Villiers] also had one or two games off, so I think we’ll be pretty much as close to our strongest team tomorrow.”

It’s very likely that the Proteas will go in with two frontline spinners.

“Going to the World Cup in Australia it is probably not going to be such a big thing, playing two spinners, but under these conditions two spinners seem to be a good option.
“It does lengthen our tail quite a bit but that just gives our top order a bit more responsibility to perform. But (Aaron) Phangiso has done really well in the games he’s played in and, hopefully, he can continue that form coming into the back end of this series,” said Domingo.
