LONDON. — Arsene Wenger will make a move for Porto’s Colombian hotshot Jackson Martinez – but only if he can clear the decks first.
The Gunners boss is ready to offload Lukas Podolski, Yaya Sanogo and Joel Campbell this summer.
And that would free up cash for a £25m move and a big contract for Martinez who would bolster Arsenal’s squad for a Premier League title challenge. Villarreal, Benfica and Real Sociedad are keen on Campbell while Sanogo was farmed out on loan to Crystal Palace.
Arsenal do want a fee for German international Podolski even though he flopped at Inter Milan and his £100 000-a-week wages could be a stumbling block. — The Mirror.
