THE experience of good music accompanied by a mouth-watering meal has the potential to blow many people’s minds and a new online platform Kwesami seeks to achieve just that.

Listening to the city’s talented artistes and getting in-depth information on certain dishes is what Kwesami followers enjoy.

Kwesami (My Place) is an online music and food experience curated by Hwabaraty and Prince Sivalo Mahlangu aka Magriza Made Me Cook.

Launched last week, the programme is being aired on Magriza Made Me Cook’s YouTube channel every Wednesday at 7pm. Msiz’Kay was the first guest.

Mahlangu said the platform was initiated as a result of the need to expose the beauty of music and food within a house setting.

“Kwesami seeks to provide a platform for the fusion of music and food through inviting established and up-and-coming artistes.

With an assortment of different acoustic sessions and local dishes, the first season will cover a total of 10 musicians,” said Mahlangu.

Said Hwabaraty: “In the coming weeks, we’ll be having an interesting line-up of guests that include Mzoe 7, Blue Rose, Vuyo Brown, Fab G Mshana, Qeqe, Mzistoz and Mimmie Tarukwana among others.

During their appearances, we’ll get to share secrets of  producing music and cooking food.” – @mthabisi_mthire.
