WHEN THE PIRATES ROLL INTO TOWN

Sports Reporter

NEWBOYS Chegutu Pirates have lost their opening two games in the domestic Premiership.

But, there is no doubt that the homeless Pirates, who can’t play their matches at home at Pfupajena, have already caused a stir in the top-flight league.

Their loyal band of fans has been following them to their matches and were there when they lost the opening game at the hands of FC Platinum at Mandava.

The band was there at Baobab as they, once again, went down 0-1 to ZPC Kariba.

One of the leading members of that band has to be the fan nicknamed “Boys Dzangu.”

He is the colourful big fellow, who has also been seen dancing in the stands at CAPS United games, who is very passionate about local football.

Towards the end of last season, he started appearing at the Pirates games and he has accompanied their bandwagon into the Premiership.

With fans like ‘Boys Dzangu,’ Pirates should be able to find a way to survive relegation.
