ZIMBABWE will learn their group stage opponents today when the draw for the 2025 COSAFA Cup takes place at 11am in Bloemfontein, ahead of next month’s regional showpiece tournament.
The draw, which will be streamed live on COSAFA’s Facebook and YouTube platforms, marks the official countdown to the 24th edition of the Southern African championship, set to run from 4 to 15 June in South Africa’s Free State province.
Matches will be played at the 2010 World Cup venue, Free State Stadium, and the Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium in Mangaung, Bloemfontein.
Fourteen teams will compete in this year’s tournament, including debutants Morocco, who join as invited guests.
They will line up alongside Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe will be aiming to add to their six COSAFA Cup titles, second only to Zambia’s seven.
The Warriors will be particularly eager to make a strong impression after missing recent editions, as they gear up for the resumption of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign in September.
