Morgan Tsvangirai.
It is unfortunate that this great Man of God is being thrown at the centre of a political struggle between MDC and Zanu-PF. However, the truth remains that here is a prophet who has represented prophecy and ministry true to the origins found in Jesus himself.
To be a man anointed like that courts all kind of people with rivalries, jealousies, love and outright hatred.
His prophetic ministry is global in reach and respects no human being. He has, time after time, proven that he will court controversy if that is what is needed to do God’s will. It is with this confidence that we know that he will not stoop to defy God and be bribed out of the truth by the person of Prime Minister or President of a political party. Supporters of Zanu-PF must therefore stand tall on the basis that their programme is God’s will for the people of Zimbabwe.
If TB Joshua serves the same God who appointed President Mugabe and anointed him, like Moses, to stand against the power of the superpowers of this world and triumph, then surely his coming can only settle Zimbabwe’s squabbles over the direction and ownership question.
As I see it, TB Joshua has already made a big statement that resonates with Zanu-PF during the New Year messages this year. Listening to his message this year, he declared that God wants Nigerians to stop using oil money to import consumer goods, but to use oil money to import machinery and technology to manufacture goods locally.
The question of ownership was clearly contained in his message. On the background of this message, it is inconceivable that the message of God conveyed through him would be at variance with that of President Mugabe. That he can be bribed by man is out of question and Zanu-PF has every reason to be proud of its stance. Consequently, Zanu-PF must be wary of playing right into the private media hands. The private media has been spoiling to see a champion who will vanquish Zanu-PF, and thus, they whipped Sadc and the superpowers and failed.
Now they are trying to brew a fight between Zanu-PF and Prophet TB Joshua. The strategy is to provoke Zanu-PF into blaspheming against God, which seems to be working as some individuals in the ranks have gone into panic mode and started throwing mud at the Man of God even without hearing his utterances.
This is the biblical strategy that was used by Balaam, that after he had unsuccessfully tried to curse the children of Israel, he resorted to sending foreign women to fornicate with them. When this angered God, Israel got into trouble. Whatever happens, Zanu-PF should not start a fight with an anointed Man of God.
In the first place, the prophecy made by TB Joshua was about the death of an African leader. There was no reference to President Mugabe, but of course all that wished him dead began to gloat in anticipation of his death.
But as the prophecy was fulfilled, it was not President Mugabe. So who is the liar in this instance? Prophet TB Joshua also prophesied the death of the North Korean leader and it came to pass. He has clearly become the centre of world attention with his appropriately named Synagogue Church of All Nations.
That is what a prophet ought to be, one whose ministry is validated by God. We know that God does nothing on earth without telling his servants.
TB Joshua has followers across political, national and continental borders and any attempt to own him is an attempt to put God in one’s pocket. We are not about to believe that God can fit into the MDC pocket. I just do not see how a man of such great influence could be used to push an “anti-people’s interests agenda”.
Instead, the coming of TB Joshua, if at all it happens, is an opportunity for Zanu-PF to speak to the Man of God, to receive him with all honour and dignity and to explain the passion of our people, to own their resources.
It is God’s will that he gave us our own Garden of Eden and we should never fear that God would reverse that which he began in the first place. Surely, if everyone wakes up with a yearning to own a car, a house, a company or something, who in his right mind would think this collective passion does not find expression at national level?
To think that President Mugabe has survived by his own power is to make him a god. That he has survived all kinds of plots against him is confirmation that God is not done with him yet. His time will come and the longer it takes us to accept his commission to empower Zimbabweans, the longer he will stay.
The Guatemala prophecy of 1998, largely embraced by the church, was all about empowerment. In the last decade of political strife, we have seen sections of the church pray and predict the President’s death and demise but since it was not the word of God it did not come to pass. Only one man is openly speaking what God has said and it comes to pass.
It is TB Joshua, love him or hate him, he is a reality. The public opinion should go back to question the legitimacy of those feeding us with daily lies and whether or not they are worth hearing let alone follow. God is for us all irrespective of tribe, political party and country and cannot be controlled by man.
