CONTROVERSIAL businessman Wicknell Chivayo has turned to prophets Ubert Angel and Shepherd Bushiri whom he claimed “gave him prophecies that he would be millionaire”. Chivayo recently met the prophets in Tshwane, South Africa for prayer and prophecy. Prophets Angel and Bushiri could not be reached for comment last week.
The Intratrek proprietor, whose company recently grabbed headlines over a contentious US$5 million transaction with Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority Holdings, took to his Facebook account to reveal that he attended prayer sessions with the two prophets in Tshwane.
This has fueled speculation that Chivayo – who refers to himself as Sir Wicknell – is seeking divine intervention following revelations that he unprocedurally received US$5 million from Zesa without providing a bank guarantee for a Gwanda solar power project.
“Had a great prayer session in Pretoria yesterday (last week) evening with prophet Ubert Angel and prophet Shepherd Bushiri, God is great,” he narrated, before claiming that, “In 2008, I bumped into Prophet Angel at Millers Cafe in Borrowdale; he gave me a powerful prophecy which has now come to pass. It was a boring afternoon as I walked past him and he called me and said young man as you entered the restaurant I saw 33 written on your forehead. I asked the Lord what does this number mean and he told me that within the next 10 years you will have US$33 million dollars.”
He went on, “He (Prophet Angel) said there’s a lot of grace in your life and you are going to meet billionaires and have strong partners around the world. For me receiving such a prophecy when I had no office and no registered company was just upsetting.
“I was driving a black BMW X5 that day and all my documents and laptop were on my back seat. That was my office. I was running around trying to get loads for my small transport company. I looked at him in shock and I said 10 years is too long, he should have said 10 months, this guy is lying and is a waste of my time, he’s just trying to make me happy. Where will I ever get US$33 million in this rubbish transport business?”
Chivayo, a convicted fraduster, said during their Tshwane meeting last week, Prophet Bushiri prayed for him and showered him with prophecies.
“Prophet Bushiri stripped me apart with accurate prophecies and blessed me with a prayer though I can’t tell you my life secrets just know I’m destined for greatness. I now know my enemies by name and I pray you all live longer so you witness my inevitable success,” he said.
Chivayo also said Prophet Angel offered to buy him first class plane tickets to England to see the preacher’s new properties there.
Prophet Angel was last year dragged to court by businessman Mr Ndabazinengi Shava for allegedly duping him of his Bentley Continental vehicle which was valued at US$350 000.
A warrant of arrest was issued against Prophet Angel but it was cancelled after the preacher and Mr Shava reached an out of court settlement.
