Will Smith reveals lowest point in marriage. . .‘Jada cried for 45 days straight’

Will Smith has made a heartbreaking confession about his marriage to Jada Pinkett Smith.

The Hollywood couple, who have been married since 1997, have succeeded where so many other famous pairings have failed.

However, the Men In Black star has now admitted that their marriage almost came close to crumbling.

Speaking on his wife’s Red Table Talk chat show, Will confessed to daughter Willow: “There was a period where mommy woke up and cried 45 days straight, I started keeping a diary.”

“You missed some days,” Jada chimed in with a smile.

“It was every morning. I think that’s the worst I’ve ever felt in our marriage,” Will added.

“I was failing miserably.”

Later in the show, Will admitted the pair don’t call themselves “married anymore”, instead choosing to refer to themselves as “life partners”.

It’s not the first time the actor has opened up about their relationship highs and lows.

In 2015, Will shared: “We’ve been married 20 years and we’ve been asking ourselves (what’s the secret to marriage) and really at the end of the day it’s just not quitting.

“You can’t expect it to be easy. It’s like our marriage was the most difficult, gruelling, excruciating thing that we have ever taken on in our lives. And you know we’re just not quitters.”

Will also revealed what he considers to be the secret to maintaining a good marriage.

The actor told Entertainment Tonight: “What I would say is that we never went into working on our relationship.

“We only ever worked on ourselves individually, and then presented ourselves to one another better than we were previously.”

The same year, Will was also forced to shut down divorce rumours.

He wrote on Facebook : “So, in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness. . . Jada and I are…NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!! (sic)”

Meanwhile, Jada found herself addressing the persistent swinging rumours surrounding the pair last year.

During an appearance on Andy Cohen’s What What Happens Live, a caller asked the actress about the craziest thing she’d ever heard.

Jada replied: “The craziest rumour? That Will and I are swingers. It’s constant.”

But rather than being annoyed, the Hollywood star added, “And I’m like, ‘Yo, I wish! I wish!’”

Host Andy Cohen the quizzed her on what the key to their marriage is.

She said: “I don’t know. I mean, I’m baffled, really. Will and I just have amazing chemistry on a lot of different levels.

“We love to laugh together, we love to learn together, and we just love each other. We just have a good time together.

Yeah, I guess that’s the secret. Yeah, we just really like each other!” — Mirror .
