ALL roads lead to Werras Park in Glen View 1 tomorrow where dancehall superstar, Winky D, headlines the inaugural Ghetto Invasion Concert.
For the Ninja president, the trip was long overdue. Backed by the Vigilance Band, Winky D will be supported by youthful chanters Bazooker and Boss Pumacol.
Emcee Templeman and Garry B, will also perform at the venue, housed in Glen View I.
“Back to the roots, Ghetto Invasion.
“It’s going to be happening at Werras Park, Glen View and it’s a mega link,” said Winky D in a promotional video.
Joint proprietor, Samuel “Boss Werras” Saungweme, said everything was in place ahead of the gig.
“It’s all systems go for the Saturday gig where we are hosting the first-ever Ghetto Invasion gig.
“We are inviting all our patrons to make a date with us as we witness this memorable event. Winky D and his Vigilance Band are ready and as a way to honour requests from our patrons, the dancehall star will be performing live as we move to promote the venue into the place of choice,” said Boss Werras.
The venue, located at the new Glen View 1 shopping complex, has hosted top artists like Alick Macheso, Killer T, Freeman, Seh Calaz, Baba Harare and Andy Muridzo.
Werras Park is slowly becoming a partying place of choice for families.
The owners have lined up more exciting gigs this summer.
