RWANDA head coach Adel Amrouche has admitted that the inclusion of Knowledge Musona in the Warriors squad gave him sleepless nights ahead of their clash on Tuesday.

Musona, a natural striker, started the game in midfield and played the entire match as Zimbabwe fell 1-0 to the East Africans on Matchday Eight of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers Group C.Zimbabwe national football team jerseys

In his post match interview, Amrouche admitted he felt relieved when he noticed the veteran star was working in a deeper role.
“When I saw Knowledge Musona on the pitch, I couldn’t sleep because I know that man can make the difference at any time. I was happy when I saw him playing a bit deeper,” Amrouche said.
“But when you play Zimbabwe, with all the individual quality they have, it’s always something to be afraid of. And Knowledge, for me, is the best individual player on the continent.
“Of course, we came into this game with a different approach, knowing the quality of my players.”
