Woman accused of chasing daughter-in-law, grandkids from house

A WOMAN claims her mother-in-law has been threatening to chase her, and her children, from their home.

Rumbidzai Chitando sought a protection order against her mother-in-law, Kiriana Madzinga, accusing her of texting and calling her, telling her to leave her son’s house.

“She is my mother-in-law and I stayed with her for three years, before leaving her house. She texts and calls me saying that I should leave the house because her son bought the stand. She says my children and I should leave and go and stay in the bush,” said Rumbidzai.

Kiriana denied the allegations.

“I only called her when I wanted receipts to pay for the cooperative stand.

“I wanted to check how much I had paid in the previous month since my son said she had the papers,” said Kiriana.

Magistrate Sharon Mashavira said the two parties were fighting over the stand. She advised Kiriana not to meddle in her children’s business.
