A GLEN View woman, 25, was arrested for unlawful entry and theft in Mainway Meadows after she was caught in the act by the owner of the property she had stolen.

Melinda Chiruka was caught after having packed Kudzai Masungise’s stuff into a satchel.

Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the arrest and said all the stolen goods were recovered.

“Police arrested a Glen View woman for unlawful entry and theft at a Mainway Meadows house in Waterfalls.

“Total value stolen was US$170 and all the goods were recovered.

“Investigations are underway and the accused is in police custody,” said Insp Chakanza.

Kudzai locked her house when she left for work earlier that day.

While at work, she recalled that she had left her solar light outside the house.

At around 1230 hours Kudzai went home and on arrival, she noticed that her screen lock was unlocked and the dining door was slightly open.

She called if there was anyone in the house and Melinda came out holding a satchel with various lock keys, a Brazilian Wig, a screw driver and a computer mouse.
