Woman caught with 143 dagga plants

POLICE in Chipinge yesterday (Monday) raided a woman’s plot where she was cultivating 143 plants of dagga.

Arairwai Chikunga (56) of Hanganyi Village under Chief Mutema’s area was expected to appear in caught today (Tuesday) facing charges of unlawfully dealing in dangerous drugs following her arrest.

The police received a tip-off that Chikunga was cultivating dagga at her plot and ambushed her.

She was caught weeding 143 plants measuring 180cm in height.

 

The dagga was uprooted.

It has a street value of US$2 000.
