A HARARE woman is demanding a US$100 monthly allowance as compensation from her ex-boyfriend for ending their two-year relationship.
Shamiso Zuze made the claim at the Harare Civil Court yesterday where she also accused Givemore Gonye of bringing different women to her house.
Zuze told the court that she was subjected to physical and emotional abuse during their relationship.
“He was in the habit of bringing different women to my house and I caught him in the act on one of the occasions, this triggered a scuffle between me and his other girlfriend.
“He disrespected me,and I deserve compensation for the pain,” said Zuze.
Gonye accused Zuze of initiating most of the problems in their relationship.
“She has been demanding too much money from me and she told me I am her only source of income.
“She has been blocking me from ending our relationship and forging lies that I brought women to her house.
“She is the one who cheated with different men and refused to break up with me because I was giving her money,” said Gonye.
Magistrate Judith Taruvinga granted a reciprocal peace order urging the two to maintain peace.
