A 29-year-old Chitungwiza woman was on Sunday raped by five men at knife-point at a bushy area along Bulawayo Road before the attackers inserted chilly into her private parts.
The woman disembarked from a kombi at Kuwadzana 7 turn-off at around 5pm.
As she was walking along Bulawayo Road, a grey Toyota Fortuner with South African number plates stopped.
Three men disembarked from the vehicle and questioned her why she was pointing at their car.
They grabbed her and dragged her into their motor vehicle.
They forcibly took her cellphone and a white handbag containing earpods and CBZ bank card.
They drove into a bushy area in Chitepo, Whitehouse, where they took turns to rape her.
Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the case.
“Police are investigating a rape case where five men took turns to rape the complainant near White House along Bulawayo Road.
“After the act, they assaulted the complainant with button sticks all over the body and stuffed fresh chilly into her private parts.
“Complainant was referred to Sally Mugabe Hospital for medical examinations,” said Insp Chakanza
