Woman loses cash in fake online car registration

A 44-year-old woman from Marlborough, Angela Jimu, recently fell victim to an online scam while attempting to register her car with the Central Vehicle Registry.

She lost US$130 after receiving a fraudulent billing link from Sandra Dziva, who offered to facilitate the registration process.

Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the case.

“Police are investigating a fraud case involving a fake online car registration.”
