Woman saved from axe-wielding hubby

A woman yesterday ditched her husband in court, accusing him of always threatening to kill her using an axe and a knife. Beauty Mavhinga claimed Tetelela Mavhinga was in the habit of physically and verbally abusing her over petty matters.Beauty was seeking a protection order against Tetelela whom she accused of breaching her peace.

“I am no longer interested in this marriage because he always sharpens his axe and knife everyday threatening to kill me,” she said.

Beauty pleaded with magistrate Mr Trevor Nyatsanza to grant her application saying her life was in danger.

Tetelela denied the allegations levelled against him accusing the wife of having an extra-marital affair.

Mr Nyatsanza granted the order in Beauty’s favour which barred Tetelela from physically or verbally abusing her.
