Woman wins against jealousy ex-hubby

CONTINUOUS threats and abuse from her jealousy ex-husband made a Mutare woman approach the Mutare Civil Courts praying for a protection order.

She described him as abusive and jealousy.

Appearing before Mrs Anniah Ndiraya, Grace Simion told the court that Munyaradzi Maphosa was abusive and jealousy as he was in the habit of frequently visiting her home disturbing her peace.

The court heard that Maphosa was disturbing Simion’s peace by assaulting her and vandalising her property.

“He is jealousy of me, yet he pushed me out our marriage. He even stalks me at work. He should not bother me. I want to start my life afresh.

“I am tired of being harassed and insulted by him. I now need the law to take its course. I no longer want him to come to my house or even talk to me,” said Simion.

Maphosa denied the allegations saying he never assaulted her.

He also accused her of him being a wizard and also said she was an irresponsible woman who was failing to take care of her children.

She is a drunkard, he said.

Mrs Ndiraya granted the protection order in favour of Simion, saying she was entitled to her peace.
