The Northern Region Soccer League (NRSL) has handed Nesbert “Yabo” Saruchera a two-match touchline ban and fined US$5 000 for his behaviour in the match against Agama.

N’ombeyaora lost to AGAMA  1-0 at Ellis Robins on Sunday.

Agama on the other hand was also reprimanded for the invasion of the field of play by their club supporters in the same match and also fined US$5 000.

On Yabo, the league stated that the coach twice stormed onto the pitch to protest a goal awarded to the opposing team, and further confronted match officials at the end.

NRSL highlighted the coach’s prior disciplinary record, noting he was fined US$3 500 last year for identical offences while he was still with Black Rhinos.

The league said the fine must be paid in full by September 26, 2025, and the coach will remain suspended until the payment is settled.

“It is regrettable to note that you were sanctioned a sum total of US$3 500 last year for similar actions,” NRSL stated.

“It is the league’s view that these fines were punitive enough and should have forced you to demonstrate good behaviour and adherence to the league’s code of conduct over the subsequent periods.

“The fact that this incident has occurred indicates that the conditions for maintaining good standing were not met and a two-match touchline match ban, being Match Week 29 and 30 with effect immediate.

“The fine is due and payable by the 26th of September 2025 and further note, you will remain suspended until the fine is settled in full.”

On Agama, NRSL said: “AGAMA FC is hereby fined US$5 000, which is  payable by September 26, 2025.”
