YADAH will be free to use three players acquired from Scottland on a season’s loan when the two teams clash in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Rufaro on Saturday.
Goalkeeper Tymon Mvula together with midfielders King Nadolo and Innocent Muchaneka are on Yadah’s books for the 2025 season but belong to Premiership newcomers Scottland, who had to offload some of their new signings to meet the stipulated squad size.
Nadolo joined Scottland from Yadah in August last year and helped them win promotion in the Northern Region Soccer League but was excess to requirements as coach Tonderai Ndiraya assembled his 30-man squad, which can be adjusted during the mid-season transfer window in July.
Mvula has previously been with Dynamos and won the Premiership title with Simba Bhora last season but left the Shamva outfit together with most members of the technical department and players like captain Walter Musona, Talbert Shumba, Vassili Kawe, Albert Manenji, Tichaona Chipunza and Tymon Machope.
A Soccer Star of the Year finalist in 2018, Muchaneka previously played for Chicken Inn, CAPS United and FC Platinum before joining Scottland.
He, however, found himself among a large pool of midfielders and missed out on the 30-member squad and he ended up at Yadah.
On Saturday Yadah host Scottland and there had been speculation that the three players will be barred from playing against their parent team.
However, there is no Fifa law that stops players on loan from playing against their parent clubs although, in most cases, it’s a clause inserted in the clubs’ deal.
Yadah chairman, Everson Chatambudza told H-Metro that their agreement with Scottland is professional and does not put restrictions.
As such, the three players are available for selection on Saturday.
“The three players are available for selection and its entirely up to the coach. If he selects them then they will play.
“Our agreement with Scottland is very straight forward and promotes Fair Play. The reason the players are on loan is so that they get game time and prove themselves. It is therefore only fair that they be allowed to play every match. That’s why there is no clause barring them against us on Saturday,” said Chatambudza.
