Young people urged to help create employment

YOUTHS should take advantage of opportunities availed by the Government to contribute towards economic growth and also create employment.

In an interview, Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Deputy Minister Norbert Tichaona Mazungunye said the youth should make use of the opportunities availed to them by the President.

“As youths we appreciate President Mnangagwa’s work ethic, we appreciate him for providing opportunities for youth to be in decision-making positions. We have several youths who are in Parliament through the youth quota system.

“As you are aware in Victoria Falls there is a 19-year-old who was appointed as a councillor, and it’s a clear indication that the President is merging the young with experienced politicians.

“We appreciate the President as we now have an all-inclusive Zimbabwe where we have all ages in decision-making positions,” said Deputy Minister Mazungunye

Youths, he said, have a role to play in the attainment of an upper-middle-income economy by 2030.

The Second Republic under the stewardship of President Mnangagwa has in the last five years availed opportunities to youths, particularly in the areas of mining, agriculture, and manufacturing.
