YOUNG music promoter, Tinashe Jonah, has joined hands with Nicky Genius on a project set to uplift ghetto youths.
Jonah has got the services of Nicky as producer on a riddim called Ghetto Stories set for release tomorrow.
The riddim is expected to have some big artists in the game such as Gemma, Enzo Ishall, Shinsoman, Jaycee, Magikal, Uncle Epatan and others.
Jonah said having one of the best producers in the country was one of his dreams in his quest to promote young talent.
“This is a great project which I am sure will make an impact since Nicky Genius makes good beats and music.
“Zimdancehall fans should expect something big from this riddim as we try to revive the dominance of riddims in the streets while making sure the new and young voices are heard,” said Jonah.
Jonah said Ghetto Stories riddim’s purpose is to empower the youths.
He believes youths need inspiration to hustle and make it in life, and the riddim will give them motivation coming from the songs as some talented youths will also participate on the riddim.
“Ghetto Stories is all about giving the youths the desire to aspire for better things in life while also empowering them.
“If the youths sing in the same project with big artists like Gemma and Enzo, it will inspire them and also make their chances to be heard more.
“Delivering Ghetto Stories will be a major highlight in my music promotion business,” he said.
Jonah’s dream is for the youth to shun drugs and focus on the future and their careers. He was disturbed by the rate of deaths being caused by drugs such as guka being abused by young ghetto men and some ladies.
He desires a society that has hard working clean youths striving to upgrade their living conditions.
He was once a musician, but decided to take up the role of uplifting others since he loves arts and music.
