TWO Zimbabwean tech innovators, Messrs Gabriel Makuvire and Tapuwa Mapunga, have developed products to help SMEs handle accounting, compliance and financial management.
Mr Makuvire is the founder of Zen Mountain AI, while and Mr Mapunga is the founder of Rynaty AI.
Their collaboration has produced a first-of-its-kind AI-powered accounting platform, designed specifically for Zimbabwean entrepreneurs and small businesses.
The system automates bookkeeping, generates real-time reports, ensures tax and statutory compliance and even enables interactive conversations with the AI to guide business owners on financial decisions.
This comes as Government is encouraging SMEs to comply with local laws so they operate hassle-free.
Said Mr Makuvire: “You no longer need a degree in accounting to run a financially-sound business.
“Zen Mountain AI is built to empower every business owner with clarity, speed and confidence in their finances.”
The platform integrates key compliance needs, including the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority, National Social Security Authority, Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe, and multi-currency reporting in US dollars and ZiG into one seamless dashboard.
Mr Mapunga said Rynaty AI brings powerful data science to enhance decision-making.
“Together, we are offering a plug-and-play finance solution for the modern Zimbabwean business,” he said.
As Zimbabwe accelerates towards a digital economy, this innovation is expected to ensure no entrepreneur is left behind.
