Young women march for President’s victory

Hundreds of young women under the banner of the Concord Young Women in Business Global ICT today marched in Harare to celebrate President Mnangagwa and Zanu PF’s victory in the recently held harmonised elections.

The march started at Robert Mugabe Square and ended at the Glamis Arena where the President was officially opening the 2023 Agricultural Show.

In an interview, Concord Young Women in Business Global ICT president Ms Apphia Nyasha Musavengana said the purpose of the march was to celebrate the President’s victory as he was addressing for the first time in Harare since his re-election.

“President Mnangagwa has worked very hard for this election victory as there is no place he did not go campaigning and looking for votes.

“This was a well deserved victory because he showed us in the last five years that he is a capable leader who delivers, a leader of the people who wishes peace and unity in Zimbabwe,” said Musavengana.

She added that President Mnangagwa has spearheaded massive development in the country and it is clear that more development is coming in the next five years.

“As young we really appreciate what the President has done through his policies that have ensured the uplifting of women’s lives.

“We are grateful to all young women and the people of Zimbabwe for giving the President another mandate to lead the country to prosperity,” she said.
