Head of delegation Dr Christopher Kalila said the tour was an eye opener as Zimbabwe had a sound management and funding system that will help the Zambia to improve and expand tertiary education.
“We are on a similar path of development and a desire to see tertiary education spread to every child who needs it and so far our visit has helped us appreciate some of the mechanisms and systems that you have put in place to ensure that universities operate soundly,” he said.
Among the areas they noted was staff remuneration while revenue generated by the university is left for expansion programmes and qualified staff management.
