Zanu-PF attends ANC indaba

Zanu-PF secretary for Administration Cde Ignatius Chombo and spokesperson Cde Simon Khaya Moyo yesterday left for South Africa for the African National Congress’ four-day annual general council meeting.

In a statement, Cde Khaya Moyo said the attendance followed a special request by the ANC leadership, which enjoys cordial relations with Zanu-PF.

He said the meeting started yesterday evening and will end on Sunday.

“The Zanu-PF secretary for Administration Cde Ignatius Chombo and secretary for Information and Publicity Cde Simon Khaya Moyo left today (yesterday) for Midrand, South Africa to attend an ANC national general council meeting known as their Policy Conference, which starts this (yesterday) evening and ends on Sunday 11 October.

“The invitation to Zanu-PF was extended by the ANC leadership.

“It is known that the ANC of South Africa and Zanu-PF enjoy special relations dating back to the days of the liberation struggle.

“The two parties are working closely to promote economic transformation to their two countries,” read the statement.
