Zanu PF cell verification ends

Sunday Mail Reporter

THE ZANU PF cell and village verification, which commenced in June, is scheduled to end today, with the ruling party’s provincial executives expected to start submitting their reports to the national offices on Wednesday.

The verification began on June 17 with the deployment of senior party members to oversee the exercise in all the 10 provinces.

Branch executive committees were tasked with physically restructuring cells and villages within their respective jurisdictions under the guidance of district and provincial leaders.

In an interview yesterday, ZANU PF National Political Commissar Cde Munyaradzi Machacha said party officials were still actively engaged in the field.

Reports on the exercise, he said, were expected from the provinces starting on Wednesday.

“People are still out there undertaking the programme,” he said.

“We are expected to get reports from provinces on Wednesday after all provinces have compiled their reports. As of now, we do not have any report as people are still out there.”

The revolutionary party’s First Secretary and President Cde Mnangagwa has emphasised the importance of the cell restructuring, saying it will allow new members to join the party.
