Zanu-PF Conference symbolises longevity, unshakeable force

SINCE independence, Zanu-PF has consistently remained the dominant and most popular political party in the country, judging by its consecutive electoral victories.

Undoubtedly, one fundamental streak of the party’s survival has been its solid foundation born out of its deep-seated relationship and attachment with the masses, whose support was critical during the successful execution of the liberation struggle.

The party’s resilience and enduring relevance are underscored by the simple fact that it remains the most dominant political force in Zimbabwe.

This is primarily because the majority believe in its policies, which have consistently remained pro-majority and pro-poor.

To its credit, Zanu-PF has undertaken deliberate actions to remedy and fulfill liberation promises, particularly on the issue of land reform.

The successful convention of the party’s 22nd National People’s Conference, which started on Tuesday with a Politburo meeting to discuss party business and endorse decisions is undoubtedly a testament to the party’s continued resonance with the people of Zimbabwe.

It is not a joke, but a testament that this party of liberation and the party of the future crafts resolutions, policies and directives that affect society and impact all sectors of the economy.

By successfully convening its 22nd national gathering, the party projects that it has applied the “Master Builder’s Code” over decades.

This systematic process involves constructing and reinforcing its political structures, maintaining unity, and establishing the solid foundations required to achieve its expansive Vision 2030 goals, thus proving its resilience and enduring relevance.

This symbolic message is powerfully reinforced by the number 22 itself, which is highly significant not just in Mathematics, but in numerology as well. In numerology, the number 22 is known as the “Master Builder”, an appellation that perfectly aligns with the message the Zanu-PF party is projecting through its 22nd National People’s Conference.

The successful staging of the 22nd National People’s Conference is therefore not a mere political routine, but a profound symbolic demonstration of the party’s enduring strength and political efficacy.

The “22 Factor” signifies that Zanu-PF has achieved longevity and survival by practically and methodically constructing a lasting political foundation.

This enduring strength explains the persistent political reality that faces the opposition. During every election, shivers emanate from some opposition political parties and their funders as the reality of defeat by the powerful Zanu-PF dawns on them, prompting them to see ghosts where there are none.

The opposition often operates under the misguided belief that they are divinely entitled to power, regardless of their actual support or effectiveness.

This sense of entitlement leads them to think that the electorate, and indeed the world, owes them a victory. This mentality not only undermines their credibility but also blinds them to the realities of democratic engagement on the ground.

Zanu-PF has maintained its status as a green and forceful political machine, consistently demonstrating its capacity for survival and self-renewal.

The regularity of its conferences is not just tradition; it is the meticulous oiling of a powerful engine.
These gatherings serve as essential internal mechanisms for the party to take rigorous stock of its successes and failures, allowing it to identify weaknesses and then quickly rectify them.

By constantly course-correcting its policies and implementation strategies, Zanu-PF proves that it is not a static relic, but a dynamic entity actively adjusting its gears to the changing political terrain.

The very act of successfully convening the 22nd National People’s Conference in Mutare is a resounding testament that, for the foreseeable future, Zanu-PF remains the forceful and dominant party to reckon with.

This high-level assembly projects an image of stability and command that the fragmented opposition cannot match.

The conference is a public display of the party’s capacity to mobilise, organise, and unify its vast structures, sending a clear signal to both domestic critics and external observers that its roots are deep and its political infrastructure is robust.

Crucially, the conference serves as the primary arena to cement unity within the party’s leadership and ranks.

By bringing diverse parties together to deliberate and endorse central resolutions, Zanu-PF minimises internal friction and reinforces the chain of command, ensuring that all energies are directed towards the common goals encapsulated in Vision 2030.

This focused, cohesive political action is the defining characteristic that ensures the party’s continued relevance and power for time to come, making it an unshakeable force in the country’s political landscape.

The successful hosting of the 22nd National People’s Conference is more than an annual political event; it is a profound demonstration of longevity and self-correction that few, if any, political entities in the region can match.

By consistently taking rigorous stock of itself over the years, Zanu-PF proves its commitment to learning and adaptation.

The mere fact of having convened this many times shows that the party has come from afar, traversing decades of historical, economic, and political challenges while remaining intact and focused on its goals.

This continuous process of renewal stands as a stark contrast to the political reality of the opposition.

The longevity and institutional maturity of Zanu-PF provide compelling evidence that new opposition parties, some of which have come and gone with the election cycles, simply have no standing or cannot compete with a party that systematically reviews and reinforces itself.

The “22 Factor” is the ultimate testament to Zanu-PF’s superior political architecture and internal discipline, signalling to all competitors that they face an unshakeable, self-oiling political machine built to endure.
