ZANU-PF Youth League has intensified its campaign to ensure its structures and constituents are fully informed and actively participating in the national discourse around the Constitutional Amendment No. 3 Bill ahead of the public hearing starting on March 30.

Parliament will be conducting public hearings on the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment No. 3 Bill from March 20 to April 2, 2026.

Zanu-PF Deputy Secretary for Youth Affairs Cde John Paradza confirmed that the youth league management committee convened on Thursday to map out a clear and coordinated strategy ahead of the upcoming public pearings on the Constitutional Amendment No 3 Bill.

“This engagement forms part of the league’s ongoing efforts to ensure that our structures and constituents are fully informed, fully mobilised and actively participating in the national discourse around the Constitutional Amendment No 3 Bill,” said Cde Paradza.

Cde Paradza, who is also the Deputy Minister of Environment, Climate and Wildlife, highlighted that as the vanguard of the revolutionary party, the Youth League remains steadfast in its responsibility to defend and advance policies that safeguard national stability, strengthen governance and secure continuity in the country’s development trajectory.

“The Youth League therefore expresses its unequivocal support for Constitutional Amendment No 3 Bill and stands ready to engage communities across the country, ensuring broad-based understanding, participation and alignment with the aspirations of the party and the nation at large,” stated Cde Paradza.

Cde Paradza commended the Government for implementing Zanu-PF resolutions which were endorsed at the Zanu-PF Annual People’s Conferences held in Bulawayo and Mutare.

At the conferences, party structures endorsed that President Mnangagwa remains in office beyond 2028 to complete some of the developmental projects he initiated.

The Government is now implementing the resolution agreed at conferences to become a Bill.

“As the Youth League, we are ready. We are activating our structures in support of the Bill. It’s not something that originated from the moon; it was agreed by the people to ensure President Mnangagwa remains in office until 2030 for continuity’s sake. As the youths, we are witnessing a great developmental trajectory, hence there is a need to ensure he completes some of the projects,” he said.

The President launched youth empowerment programmes meant to benefit the youth across the country.
